Seeking to continue facilitating an engaging, practical, and student-focused academic environment where all learners can utilize their unique strengths and interests to meet and exceed learning targets and challenges. When young learners know their contributions and viewpoints are valued and they are given greater agency in the pursuit of their studies, their acquisition of English within the K-12 curriculum is enhanced. Through activities that promote self-responsibility and respectful peer collaboration, students are motivated to engage in academic language and knowledge, build social and cultural fluency, and challenge themselves to push beyond their perceived limits.My goal as an educator is to facilitate this type of environment--a compassionate classroom community that helps young learners realize their full potential and develop a lifelong love of learning.
