• Designing, modeling, prototyping, and testing a 3-DoF MR-compatible robot for teleoperated abdominal interventions• Developing a hydrostatic actuation and transmission network to create MRI-safe and low friction actuation• Created a testing setup to characterize the force and motion transmission across actuators using precision linear stages with the aim to develop a model using parameters such as back pressure, tubing length, and amplitude and frequency of motion• Developing an anthropomorphic motion phantom to imitate human respiration for evaluating image-guided interventions

•Designed and analyzed an assembly of 3-link, 6-degree of freedom robotic arm, capable of liftingweights up to 5 kg and reaching up to a height of 1.2 m•Achieved an optimum design for different parts, by performing stress, factor of safety and force-displacement simulations on possible designs and lead its in-house fabrication• Reduced the weight of robotic arm by 1.1 kilograms as compared to the previous iteration by using bevel gear assemblies and linear actuators instead of DC motors•Mentored 2 juniors to familiarise them with concepts of design of the components of the subsystem

• Delivered a design guideline by benchmarking 10+ side valance designs currently in practice using a2mac1• Analyzed the properties of 15+ plastic materials used in the automotive industry and suggested a material most suitable for side valance manufacturing based on various parameters• Carried out calculations for comparing the strain generated under impact load in ribbing patterns of the automotive side valance to arrive at a structure with optimal shape and dimensions• Studied the different impact tests performed on vehicles to visualize the failure of the side valance• Designed an Excel based calculator for calculating deformation in the ribs based on the input design variables
