My role :I am currently serving as an instructional assistant under Dr. Miller at the University of Houston for two courses: Process and Quality Management (150 students) and SCM 3301 Supply Chain Management Fundamentals (1,000+ students). In this role, I:🔹 Support students with foundational concepts in Supply Chain Management, assisting with calculations, lecture preparation, and exam revisions during scheduled office hours.🔹 Facilitate in-class simulations to demonstrate Process Analysis and Improvement using Lean Six Sigma, actively engaging students in real-world applications. 🔹 Administer the Canvas platform to provide continuous guidance and support to students.🔹 Implement lean processes in class activities to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.Working alongside Dr. Miller, who brings over 30 years of experience in teaching and operational excellence, has been an invaluable learning opportunity. My role:* During my summer internship at The singareni collieries company limited (SCCL), VK-07 Incline, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the coal mine and its various divisions. This involved Familiarizing myself with intricacies of Mining operations, Ventilation in underground mine, Mine safety standards. * Additionally, I had the opportunity to showcase my knowledge and insights by delivering a presentation on VK-07 Incline, highlighting its significance as an underground coal mine with an annual capacity of 0.84 MTPA and utilizing continuous miner technology and LHDs. Presenting this detailed overview to the manager responsible for overseeing the mine's overall operations was a valuable opportunity to contribute to the collective understanding and management of the site, showcasing my analytical thinking and communicational skills.
