Project was on investigating "the role of root cap derived cytokinin in regulating Root system architecture in Arabidopsis"Over all result demonstrated that Root cap synthesized cytokinin is important for regulation of RAM size and also LRP priming. Reduced CK status in root cap, increases Auxin status and transport by positively regulating PIN transporters. Our result has been shown that LRC derived Auxin also plays a key role in in LRP priming.

Successful in developing a multigene vector for plant transformation and transgenic crops were developed. Evaluation of transgenic plants for its performance under different abiotic stress conditions. The peanut and sunflower transgenic showed better phenotype than wild type under different stress like salinity, drought and oxidative stress. The outcome of my study has proven the hypothesis that co-expression of different TFs bring tolerance by up regulation of different stress responsive pathways.Second project was on “Identification and validation of TFs from adaptive species, peanut”. Cloned, characterized and evaluated the importance of three basic TFs for abiotic stress response. The outcome of my study disclosed that C3H type AhZF role under heavy metal stress tolerance. Similarly, the role of AhBTF3 under abiotic stress was depicted for the first time in plant system . Show less
My research work was "Characterization of abiotic stress responsive genes from cDNA library of drought adapted crop plant, peanut (Arachis.
