Grades nursery through eight, 150 students and 41 faculty and staff membersAs Head of School I worked in concert with the Board of Trustees towards recasting and solidifying the current state of our school. Much focus was placed on defining and furthering a newly crafted and shared mission of the school with emphasis towards developing a more academically successful environment. As Head of School I raised 2.7 million in my first three months to support many infrastructure improvements such as a new faculty compensation plan, a complete renovation of the 80,000 square foot historical building, new marketing and communications plan, and a complete curricular overall. Some items were necessary elements to an existing strategic plan and others were developed upon my arrival. Specifically, I was responsible for the daily operations of the school with grades nursery through eight. I hired, mentored, supported and evaluated a faculty and staff of 41. I served in an ex-officio role on the Board of Trustees and sat on all seven board committees. I was responsible for the planning and implementing of the annual 2.5 million dollar operating budget. Over the years I served as Director of Admissions, Head of Upper School, Director of Secondary School Placement, Director of Marketing, Chair of the Academic Council and Eighth Grade Advanced History Teacher. Harbor Country Day has grown and evolved tremendously over the last four years, while holding true to its ever-present nurturing environment.

Administrator for Special Projects Grades pre-kindergarten through twelve, 800 students, 105 faculty and staff membersDuring a one-year assignment I helped lead the building process of the new 35,000 square foot wing. I worked directly with the general contractor and architect to strive towards building completion and take over in an efficient and effective way. I was directly responsible for implementing programmatic enhancements, hiring new personnel, instituting a new internship program, providing professional development for faculty members, and orchestrating a reduction in class size from 19 to 15 students per lower school class.
