As a scientific expert in efficacy of biocidal products I'm responsible for:- Assessing efficacy of biocidal products under Dutch Transitional Law;- Assessing efficacy of biocidal products under the Biocidal Product Regulation (528/2012/EC);- Assessing Analytical methods and Physico-Chemical Properties (APCP) of biocidal products under the Biocidal Product Regulation (528/2012/EC);- Assessing the efficacy of active substances under the review programme of the BPR;- Representing member state The Netherlands as a member of the Biocidal Product Committee Efficacy Working Group meetings in Helsinki (ECHA);- Contributing to ECHA and NL guidance documents on efficacy and testing requirements;- Providing expertise to (inter)national governmental organisations such as RIVM, I&M, NVWA, IL&T, ECHA and other EU member states;- Providing support to applicants, NGO's and citizens via the Ctgb servicedesk.

My main activities at Royal HaskoningDHV include:- Hazard assessment (physical-chemical properties and ecotoxicology);- Risk and exposure assessment using software such as CHARM, EUSES and CHESAR;- Preparation of REACH dossiers;- Preparation of biocidal product dossiers (EU 528/2012);- Preparation of safety data sheets (SDS), both according to DSD/DPD and GHS/CLP;- Technical and financial management of REACH consortia;- (Q)SARs: design, application and documentation in QMRFs and QPRFs;- Modelling of environmental fate and behaviour of substances, including model design;- Database design and management;- Global notifications (including off-shore chemicals such as OCNS compliance (HOCNF));- Economical impact assessments of chemicals legislation;- Providing training on REACH and classification and labelling (DSD/DPD and GHS/CLP) in both the public and private sector;- Investigations for governmental bodies (e.g. into the use of non-authorized biocides, Prior Informed Consent (PIC) Regulation (EU 649/2012);- Extensive experience working abroad (Turkey/KKDIK);- Evaluation of scientific data.
