I am currently working as a graduate research assistant under Dr. Dinakar Sagapuram and Dr. Satish Bukkaptnam. We are working on a variety of research projects. 1) Designing and developing a smart manufacturing dashboard which performs real time analytics on data streamed from any manufacturing machine.2) Developing a method to capture high frequency forces in Ti-64 alloy using piezoelectric sensors.3) Developing a new method to capture images at 100,000 frames/sec with a minimum resolution of 1MP.

We a gang of Mechanical Engineers were challenged one day we cannot build a IT company. we took it to our heart and where part of first batch of IIC PDPU practically incubating ourselves. We empatized with market using tools like Design Thinking, Business Model Canvas, IDEO cards etc found a very powerful niche in our geographical region that there are lot of ecoomerce companies giving cash backs but one cannot exchange these cash backs across various platforms (like amazon, snapdeal, flipkart) we took this as a opportunity to ponder and build a website from scratch where one can compare prices across board and transfer credits across platforms. We got funding from Governent of Gujarat of 10 lakhs for prototyping and were amongst the first to take benifits for another 10 lakhs for marketing plan as we were one of the first start-ups to get this fund. We got amazing traction initially and then the team had other personal plans two when on to take jobs and one joined merchant Navy due to family pressures and commitments. I was the lone last warrior manning the front. Competition started creeping in and we pivoted to make chrome extensions and made sales of 1.25 lakhs in a matter of weeks by then I had burned up my money and not partners to work with as well, I then went to persue my master's studies.From my experience i learned How to (1) find opportunity in competitive market (2) get operational ecommerce portable built (3) practically use innovation tools like Design Thinking, Business Model Canvas, (4) How to effectively pivot (5) How to create traction and (6) when to move on.
