The Monument, a premier full-service convention, exhibition and performance complex with over 500,000 square feet of space that includes two arenas, a performing arts theater, and numerous exhibition and meeting rooms. In this role, I oversee and or perform a broad scope of marketing and sales functions.- Working in partnership with other members of the managment and marketing teams to define show & venue marketing plans, - Creating and producing marketing material that supports these plans. - Leading our suite revenue generation efforts.- Maintaining positive relationships with our corporate partners and suite holders while serving as the primary contact/liaison. - Serve as an administrator of our email marketing database, social meda platforms & website.- Recruit, supervise & train part-time individuals to serve as our premium guests guest service/valet staff.Before joining the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center team, I worked in the rodeo industry first with the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and later with the largest (at the time) promoter of PRCA events, Smith Pro Rodeos. While at the PRCA, I oversaw a staff of 40+, managed the department budget, approved and coordinated over 650 rodeo events annually. Smith Pro Rodeos gave me the opportunity to learn about producing events. While there I organized meetings with new and established committees and sponsors, created bid presentations, served as a liaison between contestants and committees, coordinated, hosted and attended events for corporate partners, developed advertising artwork for promotional materials.What I have loved most about my career is the amazing and diverse group of people I have had the opportunity to work with while creating fun and innovative sponsorship activations while coordinating events.
