About Peter Serles
Dr. Peter Serles is a Schmidt Science Fellow at Caltech working with the Greer Group & the Kavli Nanoscience Institute, co-appointed to the University of Southern California working with the Quadrato Lab at the Broad CIRM Center Stem Cell Centre.Peter's research focuses on Nanoscale Additive Manufacturing (nano-3D printing) for machine learning designed metamaterials, biomaterial scaffolding and microenvironment engineering for neural organoid development, and clean energy technologies. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts in top international journals including Nature and Science.Peter completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Toronto where he was a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholar and was awarded the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineers PhD Gold Medal.
