Experience- Paul is a Partner in a team that specialises in providing accounting advice to entities on emerging accounting issues and complex transactions. - He has extensive experience in accounting for mergers and acquisitions, group restructures, demergers and joint arrangements. Paul works regularly with entities to identify and consider structuring options that allow for more innovative and flexible ways to manage the accounting implications of a transaction or internal restructure. - Paul has expert insight into the issues facing Australian businesses, knowledge of industry and market trends and a solid understanding of the views of local and international regulators and standard-setters. He regularly engages the business community on topical financial reporting issues affecting Australian entities. - Paul is also part of PwC’s global accounting network. He works closely with tax and accounting specialists in other territories in order to draw on that knowledge and experience to provide clients with accounting advice relevant to cross-border transactions. Expertise- IFRS and AAS accounting advice as applicable to all sectors, including IFRS transition;- Accounting for complex transactions and group re-organisations, including accounting policy alignment;- Advice on financial reporting disclosures for public documents including IPOs, demergers, capital raisings and scheme of arrangements; - Structuring advice to maximise accounting outcomes congruent with commercial, legal and tax objectives.
