Instructional Coach
Current-Assist teachers in the planning, preparation, and implementation of best practices to meet the needs of students-Assist teachers with grade book setup and grade verification in (PowerTeacher, PowerSchool)-Attend and facilitate district & building-level leadership meetings (department, faculty, grade level, PLCs, summer sessions)-Build rapport with teachers, administrators, students (families), and other coaches-Provide direction and coordination for how the curriculum is taught consistent with district initiatives and recognized best instructional practices-Demonstrate the implementation of best practices for teachers through teaching and/or co-teaching-Develop coaching plans for teachers to ensure student improvement-Develop staff members’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors through a variety of professional development topics and designs.-Informally observe (non-evaluative) lessons and provide feedback for teacher’s professional growth and students’ success.-Maintain school portfolio using data from district and building administration.-Support teachers and administrators in using data to improve instruction on all levels.-Support the instructional development of all staff in understanding the curriculum and varied assessments, the district Instructional Protocol, and data analysis.-Utilize Adult Learning Theory to motivate adult learners to improve professional practice.
