I’ve worked on three separate agile oriented projects for the Defense Intelligence Agency, two of which have been completed and gone into production and one of which is currently undergoing pre-release and final production. These projects have incorporated mapping solutions and unique datasets of objects in the hundreds of thousands to provide our clients with up-to-date and easily accessible sensitive information. The most recent project I’ve worked on allowed me to get involved in several aspects of the development process from creating and provisioning salt stack configurations, to managing NGINX configurations, developing python automation scripts for data ingestion and enrichment, and also developing front-end user interfaces. Throughout this process I’ve familiarized myself with other programming technologies such as docker, PostgreSQL, and Amazon Web Services. I have also used Jenkins for continue integration and just recently transitioned to using GitLab Continuous Integration. Along with the programming aspects of my day-to-day work, I have had the opportunity to serve as scrum master for my team, organizing and running several bi-weekly sprints, which involved daily stand up meetings and a sprint planning.
