I have successfully managed a major organizational change consisting in a separation of our Purchasing and Product Marketing activities, clustering all Purchasing activities into a global Procurement department including Volume and Value business units.I was the Head of the Purchasing Department, dealing with 240 vendors for 2.2 billion yearly expenditures.I have managed the Purchasing team composed of 31 buyers, 5 supervisors and 2 managersMain roles and responsibilities:o Build and adjust the Inventory planning: convert sales plans into inventory targets levels through periodic reviews (Annual Planning, Quarterly forecasts, bi-weekly outlooks)o Ensure to maintain the best level of service for vendors, customers, sales and marketing teams though a set of Service level agreementso Control and validate purchase orders according to the Group policies and within a global delegation of authorityo Ensure to maintain a well balanced inventory = max availability for min inventory and max freshness for Cash Days and working capital optimizationo Initiate regular meetings with Business owners and Vendorso Follow-up and share dedicated KPI such as DOS to measure the level of inventory relative to sales, line item fill rate for availability, “mud factor” and ageing provision.
