Sourced and produced company’s first down jacket production for women and men that became the largest part of company production. Manufactured METROPOLITAN VIEW outerwear program for Bloomingdales in first year, program continued for 4 years. Initiated direct sourcing division which sourced product for other manufacturers and importers in need of company product. First year sales in this division were $1M and it grew to $ 3M. Opened Nanjing, China branch office including hiring of office manager and QC team. Implemented an aggressive shift to import production for Children’s wear fake fur division thereby reducing costs by 30% and increasing capacity. Developed planning / logistics processes to reduce production lead time from 120 days to 75 days. Began Men’s Outerwear Division with first year volume of $1.2M increasing to 6M by 2007. Conducted market research and trend analysis; identified, developed, and marketed new products utilizing innovative color, print, fabric, and trim style direction. Presented product lines to merchandise managers, buyers, and stores Led product development; established program details and sourcing, and resolved production issues. Partnered with overseas team members and vendors to effectively achieve sourcing objectives. Restructured company’s U.S. distribution operations by closing company owned warehouse and moving distribution to well known Global Supply Chain specialist thereby reducing warehousing expense by $ 400K in the first tear of operations (a 35% savings) that has continued to provide a consistent increase in revenue and profit as well as improved distribution and inventory control efficiency. The move also allowed the company to distribute product on both the East Coast and West Coast allowing for reduced shipping costs and reduced shipping times to customers.
