I initially joined thePlatform as a contractor and converted to my current FTE role after six months. I work within a team responsible for deploying, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting production and pre production systems running on Kubernetes clusters in AWS. To date, my projects have included testing for a linear rights metadata management solution and a live SSAI video streaming service. I also wrote a formal testing methodology to outline performance and resilience testing, tools, processes, and reports.Day-to-day work includes:JMeter stress, load, longevity, resilience, and failover testing.Configure, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and document QA and production environments. Stacks include Golang, Kubernetes, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, Cloudfront, Lambda, Cloudwatch, Route53, Splunk, Cloudformation, Aerospike NoSQL, Chef.Development of JMeter test environment and bash script framework to enable turnkey performance testing.Tuning and performance verification.Validation of failover and recovery for microservice Kubernetes clusters.Production deployment, tuning, monitoring, alerting, and support for microservices.

I was initially hired by Qpass to test their mobile payments products and joined Amdocs in 2006 upon their acquisition of Qpass. At Amdocs, my performance testing projects included a PCI compliant payments product web services, cloud-based mobile payments systems, a content delivery platform, and the Digital Commerce Manager product.Day to day work included: Establishing performance test tooling (LoadRunner, Site Scope, JMeter, Xymon, HP Diagnostics, VisualVM, ELK, SQL Developer), including tool setup and configurationBuilding out and managing multiple performance test labs on VMware.Managing scripted deployment and configuration of application WARs across multi-node test environments.Working with development to define production modeled performance and data requirements, and partnering with development and DBAs to identify and resolve bottlenecks. .Conducting Stress, Load and Failover testing of REST Web Services using LoadRunner and SiteScope.Mentoring offshore development teams.Conducting performance certification on Tomcat to reduce WebLogic costs.Tuning database connection to app thread ratios and GC options to minimize Web Service latency.
