• Member of a team developing a platform for new generation of modular smart meters, covering the implementation of data storage. Using IBM Rational Rhapsody program for automatic generation of C code based on UML modelling language.• Searching for 3rd party solutions and discussing possibilities of outsourcing development of data storage on application level, cooperating with different Slovenian and foreign experts. Analysing expected data storage performance, writing requirements and testing procedures.• Writing device drivers for new family of embedded Serial NOR FLASH chips.• Help with the transition from segmented to dot matrix display on meters. Development of simple ASCII parser with which the user can determine how to display desired data. • Taking over firmware side of largest project in company, Dutch smart meter roll-out. Keeping issues reported in JIRA (from testing lab in Netherlands) aligned with our FW group with the help of Visual Studio Team Foundation Server. Seeking possible solution to emerging problems with our customers. Deploying firmware updates with all documentation for verification testing and field deployment. Leading completion of Software and Hardware Escrow Agreement (with NCC Group).

• Implementation of additional functionality in the household meters for foreign markets.• Taking over data storage on smart household and industrial electricity meters. Testing, debugging and adaptation to new market requirements (Visual Studio, C).• Participation in systematization of meter setup process according to customer requirements. Defining all possible firmware variations with focus on limiting the possibility of human errors.

• Learning and helping with development of embedded software for household electricity meters.• Developing load profile support (Load curve) for single phase and three phase household meters – data saving, searching and displaying requested data (IAR Embedded Workbench, C).• Support for load profile features in meter reading software (Borland C++ Builder).
