Having spent time in multiple industries over the past year alone, and being engaged in a interdisciplinary education, I have had the amazing opportunity to find out what truly drives me in life. My current role with Calpine Energy Solutions has delivered me a sense of purpose. I’ve learned over the span of my career that the people that are impacted by my work will always come first, and alongside them, the health and well-being of our planet. It’s difficult to say I still have a dream job, in my time with religious institutions, a state politician’s local office, and now with one of the nation’s largest power generators, I’ve always loved my work. But it was never the tasks I was given, or the pay I was afforded. I have a deeply rooted conviction that I feel compelled to pursue and driven to adhere to. Wherever I work, whatever I do, I have one goal: to make the world a better and more secure place for all.
