Case Manager
Answers telephone and make appropriate transfers; type reports, memos, labels and letters accurately and in a timely manner; order and maintain inventory of office supplies with approval from Project Director; maintain inventory of program supplies, i.e. items needed for orientations, job fairs and meetings; assist in routine tasks and errands required for efficient operation of the office, i.e. copying and filing. Manage a case load of 90-100 individuals and families to ensure clients stay in the program, become employed and are retained on the job by: counseling clients about the various issues affecting education and employment: day care, transportation, personal/family issues, wardrobe, attitude, goal setting, completing individualized employment plans etc; providing support and referrals to other agencies when necessary; monitoring attendance and punctuality; working collectively with Job Developer to schedule clients for appropriate job interviews, following up with clients on interviews and assisting clients in choosing best job offer; collect all required documentation such as proof of income, medical documentation or certifications; work with diverse population of unemployed/underemployed clients to identify barriers to employment and connect clients to supportive services, vocational resources and/or enroll clients in job readiness program; document client interactions in WTW database, and serves a liaison with other WDSS staff, units and departments; submit activity report and performance measures on a weekly basis; attend staff meetings and present data on client retention, problems/concerns, and other client service issues.
