About Mehmet Ali D.

I'm highly motivated self-taught freelance software developer. Raised at a wasteland where highest technological advancement was traffic lights. Earned my very first penny from a web platform called "rentacoder.com" which renamed to vWorker then sold to freelancer.com.Those websites became $5 slave markets around ten years ago. I quit freelancing at the time, moved to Istanbul and started to work at major IT company which collaborates with top brands of the country. Ofcourse a basic income wasn't enough to pay the bills in big city, i started to do some networking and took side projects in order to survive. Those side projects became more profitable than my fulltime job, eventually i quit and settled back to where i born. After some political events, USD/TRY exchange rate increased and online freelancing became profitable again. I moved back to my mama's house to cut the expenses and started to save money in cash. That my very first mistake because i realized so much later that my local currency was losing value everyday (aka inflation) so i had to do something with that. With a sudden decision, remotely launched a Delaware C type company at U.S. and the aim was obvious, freelancing.I assembled an online team and created a "software development as a service" marketplace with set of project management and payment tools. After one year of run, platform income even didn't cover the taxes and expenses and i had to shutdown in order to prevent any further burndown.Meanwhile i was fiddling with drones, arduinos, crypto mining and virtual reality before it's become a thing in middle east. I purchased components from china and build myself at home due to extreme customs regulations. Created an "Oculus Rift" clone before it's official launch and got quite attraction from colleagues, later an amazon echo inspired security sentry got featured at a major engineering blog "hackaday.com"After some life events, i entirely given up on the software development and focused to family business for four years. The lifetime coding experience didn't wasted though, i modernized all mechanical equipment at there with bunch of relays and arduinos, launched our own ERP with built-in ecommerce system and eventually when pandemic happened at 2020 i launched an ATMEGA2560 powered fully automated coffee packaging machine from scratch at lockdown times. After the pandemic "remote work" become a thing again worldwide and i become a part of it without leaving my habitat in here.checking in from 2024, welcome to the new world order..eof
