I believe in self-expression and self-kindness and my passion is to help people identify, challenge and fulfill what they believe is most authentic, intentional, and worthy to themselves in different areas of their functioning and wellbeing. I have an international and multicultural background, both personally and professionally, which has cultivated my curiosity and ability to engage in perception from different lens, adapt to new experiences, and be challenged by unique opinions and concepts. I believe in creating a safe, nurturing, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space with my clients so they may express intimate experiences that may feel bad, and in collaboration, we can transform them into powerful triggers for self-growth. I engage in holistic, affirming and culturally appropriate interventions.I have extensive experience working with highly diverse caseload of adults, adolescents, couples, and families. I have worked with high risk clients who have been recently hospitalized, with suicidality, anger or violence issues, dual diagnosis of substance abuse, and adverse/traumatic childhood experiences. I also have a professional investment in, among them, clients coping with anxiety, stress, depression and mood swings; healing with trauma, pain, grief and loss; navigating life transitions and building healthy lifestyles; discovering racial and cultural identity; processing and improving family-of-origin and relationship conflicts; and recovery with increased self-esteem / self-confidence. I have led recovery and skill development groups, including, coping with anxiety and stress, healthy lifestyles, problem-solving, medication education, family relationships, and work (re)entry.
