As a former educator turned psychological associate, I possess a diverse background in both public education and mental health. Most recently, I completed a one-year internship in Geropsychology.My mental health training and experience include working in community mental health, completing a formal Internship in Geropsychology, and therapy experience utilizing advanced biofeedback technology and software to treat clients that want to improve brain function. In addition, My experience includes: conducting psycho-educational tests to appraise the emotional, social, behavioral, and educational needs of individuals; communicating diagnostic test results to individuals and family members; working with families to help them understand the needs and problems of their loved ones; determining appropriate services and programs beneficial to individuals with special learning needs; providing psychological counseling, behavioral strategies and therapeutic services to children, teens, and adults. In my previous experience as a Public Education Administrator, I had an excellent track record for successfully incorporating the use of technology to create new and innovative education programs, improve organizational growth and successfully lead special projects and initiatives, such as Teachers of the Year and Academic Decathlon. I succeeded in working very well with all organizational levels, and I developed a reputation for being the go-to person for assistance with implementing new projects and organizational-wide change. I worked at the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) for more than 17 years. In 2004, I received a Masters in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. I am proficient in designing county-wide organizational change management procedures for highly complicated and detailed technology integration projects. As a technology professional, I have extensive experience in planning, organizing, and directing county-wide educational technology programs.
