The functional requirements provide the basis for a product development strategy that gives the software team a clear sense of direction.Team ManagementAble to identify the skills needed for each development project and recruit team members. If the team members don’t have the required skills, my responsibility is to organise training programs or work with external contractors or consultants who offer the skills, and monitor the performance of team members against strategic targets and provide mentoring or training, if necessary.Team ResourcesResponsible for ensuring that teams have access to the resources they need, such as computing systems, development tools and communications. Resource requirements vary at different stages of software development, so managers monitor progress to ensure that the team does not encounter obstacles. SchedulingTo ensure that teams complete projects on time, and establish schedules. If we are developing software for external customers, my responsibility is to coordinate development schedules with the release dates planned by the marketing team. Project ManagementMonitor progress against intermediate and final development targets. To conduct regular team meetings to review progress and to identify potential obstacles to completion. Also monitor quality to ensure that products meet their technical and business objectives. In addition to regular development team meetings, also schedule meetings with other stakeholders, such as department managers and marketing professionals to update on the project and obtain feedback.Researching, designing, implementing and managing software programs
