Peter co-chairs the firm's Corporate Practice Group and chairs the National Veterinary Law Group. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee working closely with firm leadership to help drive the firm’s positioning and strategic plan. He is an experienced business lawyer and trusted advisor who represents a wide range of clients through every stage of their growth. His practice is focused on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganizations, business formation, structuring and governance and other commercial transactions. Peter maintains exceptionally close relationships with his clients. Peter prides himself on anticipating his client’s needs and works collaboratively with their teams to achieve strategic business goals while respecting his client's deadlines and budget.As chair of the firm’s National Veterinary Practice Group, Peter has developed a national practice representing owners, sellers, associates, and private equity backed consolidators regarding practice acquisitions and sales, start-ups, associate buy-ins, joint ventures, rollover equity, management service organizations, leases and other real estate transactions, partnership agreements, and employment agreements. Together with other members of the team, Peter provides strategic counseling to his clients on risk management issues involving non-compete agreements, severance agreements, business separation issues, intellectual property matters, tax law compliance, regulatory compliance, employment, and discrimination matters. Dedicated to community service, Peter is currently serving his fifth term as the Mayor of his hometown of Cedar Grove where he has served on the Township Council since 2004. He also sits on the township’s planning board. Peter currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, the largest association of YMCAs in the State of New Jersey. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for NYSAVE, a non-profit organization which provides emergency funding for the veterinary care of sick or injured companion animals.
