As Co-Chairman of RICS Oman along with Ihsan Kharouf, Head of Savills Oman, our focus is on providing a platform for the Oman RICS membership to come together to connect, exchange ideas, share the latest learning and developments from around the world and in the Oman markets, and to provide a bridge/engagement for the Oman membership to understanding the wider RICS resources available and membership benefits to their careers.Our goal, simply put, is to advance standards, to provide learning opportunities and tools to support practising professionals, to provide a platform for members to gather together, and to grow our membership. In the months and years ahead we will provide a qualitative CPD programme based around interesting and relevant topics, we will engage with schools and universities, we will provide networking events and we will provide APC support and guidance for candidates wanting to become MRICS qualified. Director responsible for all aspects of the Gleeds China Cost Management business - strategic, financial, sales & marketing, HR. Has led the China Cost Management business through challenging volatile markets 2013 - 2016 by diversification into new sectors, establishing a niche service focused on people, quality and adding value, and building understanding and trust with clients. As a result Gleeds China Cost Management business has grown over the past three years and has a solid platform, reputation and pipeline for future growth. Separate to Gleeds, Philip has supported RICS establish in China and has been a regular advisor to RICS management regarding how to be effective in China and set up relevant training products for the local populations. Philip is also a part-time invited speaker to several SOE's relating to Outbound Investment (China to UK, China to Australia).

Role involved forging policy, business planning, event management, finance management, penning media articles, PR management, website oversight, chairing quarterly committee meetings and providing operational, planning and management guidance to the sub-committee chairs. With over 20,000 members, London matrics led the way for RICS UK. We were also honoured to be tasked with the planning, procurement, construction and operation of some 15 beacons for the Queen's Golden Jubillee celebrations.
