I was responsible for controlling the mixer, and making sure everything sounded good. When on-location I was also responsible for calibrating the cameras, and running the video titler.Quite often I was also involved in debugging the audio and video systems prior to an on-location shoot, finding things that were connected improperly, not grounded well, loose, and adjusting and calibrating the equipment in some cases.I have been the assistant director in several of our productions.I helped produce a TV show called Student Profiles, that highlighted students in our district who performed well and were considered to be outstanding students.

I was initially responsible for TV5's website. The community relations department liked my work, and soon after I was responsible for rewriting and reformatting the entire district's website. I ended up making my own map of the school district, where you could click on a location and it would go to the school that covered it. This was well recieved and well liked among the community, and various agencies wanted to advertise on it.The rewrite of the website made the local newspaper, which found it far more functional than any previous layout the school ever had.

I assembled kiosk systems primarily for one client, Campus Interaction. This involved learning how to install, configure and repair Macintosh (adding memory and peripherals, as well as running and configuring system 7), and Windows NT (3.51) workstation. It also included basic configuration of cisco routers, and beta-brite signboards. The challenges of this is that if you make a mistake, someone has to fly across the country to fix it. It cost us quite a bit of money once when we set the timezones wrong on a few televisions (they had auto on-off timers built in to save power) and all that, because the kiosk had to be dismantled in-situ by an experienced person to reset the clocks properly, to give you an idea of the problems inherent in screwups.
