Initial responsibility included learning how to program in C#, to support the development of a desktop application. After about a year, I transitioned to the web applications team to learn HTML, CSS and JS. As part of this team I assisted with the re-write of one of the company's websites and created a web application that assists the sales team with contract negotiations. I was responsible for all aspects of this project, from gathering requirements, developing a demo, presenting the demo, developing the application, testing, training, launching and support.

This role included all the responsibilities from my prior role (Accountant III), but had a higher emphasis on continuous process improvement. This included the design and preparation of financial models and other analytical tools used in key business decisions, and improving and automating business processes. This required discovery sessions with key users, discussions with Oracle technical specialists, and development in VBA.Lead role in upgrading Oracle to R12 and in assisting our Chinese subsidiary with the implementation of Oracle R12.Supervised Accounts Payable.
