A former Great Britain and England international athlete on the track and cross country - and one of only 201 British athletes to have run under 4 minutes for a mile - I have now been working with charities and social enterprises for over 20 years. I have a broad experience base including working with the private and public sectors. I've worked specifically within health and social care (commissioning and service design), homelessness, sport and physical activity, regeneration and youth entrepreneurship. My commercial private sector experience has included Hotel and Catering, Internet Marketing, Web Development, mobile communications and e-commerce.I've led workshops and presented at international conferences, helped former substance misusers set up services, worked with early-stage social ventures, helped commissioners think about how they could design new health and social care services, volunteered, mentored and currently on the board of Wards Corner Community Benefit Society.In recent employment at Locality I have helped set up community and social enterprises, developed and appraised feasibility studies, business plans and investment proposals, advised on legal structures and community asset transfers and developed impact frameworks.
