Presently working on Smart Transits: data analysis, navigational locks instrumentation, digital twin, AI.2. Led Panama Canal multidisciplinary engineering team as part of the intercompany collaboration with Maersk and Trelleborg Marine in the design of a new fendering system for the Neopanamax locks.3. BIM Architecture Development: responsible for the deployment of the new BIM architecture to be used within the Engineering Division for all its construction and engineering projects. The new setup involves the installation and setup of some engineering and database managing software including ProjectWise, Autodesk Revit, and Microstation Inroads V8.3. New Panama Canal Spillway: lead Mechanical Engineer in charge of reviewing the preliminary and final designs of the tainter gates, emergency gates and stoplogs, and all the associated machinery for their proper operation and control.4. Port Engineering: developed the mechanical technical specifications for the development of the Panama Canal first port project.5. Pacific Locks Turntables: in charge of main mechanical design and project technical specifications for mechanical component acquisitions.6. Locks Miter Gates Hydraulic Machinery: in charge of the development of technical specifications for the acquisition of hydraulic components. Designed test stand for hydraulic cylinder rod coatings assessment.7. Gatun Spillway Modification Project: led a group of multidisciplinary engineers during the design and final commissioning of the project.8. Helicopter Camera Mount: designed custom gyro-stabilized nose mount for a high-definition video camera, a couple of years before drones came in handy. The camera mount was used to record live footage of Panama Canal expansion works.
