As the Sales Manager, I am responsible for soliciting new accounts, maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals through sales calls, written communication, and site inspections. I oversee client functions to ensure customer satisfaction. I participating in daily business review meetings, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required. I work with other departments within the convention center to provide quality service to customers. I also regularly attend community/social events and industry meetings, & develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. In addition, I also maintain responsibility for oversight of assigned daily events in over 400,000 square feet of meeting space with a capacity of up to 20,000 people.
