I am a member of IAAS(1988 batch) and I am presently working as Dy C&AG, at the level of Secretary to Government of India. I am a part of the Top Management of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India. heading the Government Accounts vertical. All the government accounting and pension and other benefit administration organisations of all the states of the country viz the AG's offices report to me. I am also the chairperson of the Government Accounting Standards Advisory Board, an inter governmental body charged with the formulating the Accounting Standards of Government entities, in convergence with IPSAS.

As Director General, I head the operations of the Division, which provides the leadership at the Headquarters to the Field formations all over the country to fulfil their constitutional role of ensuring accountability and good governance to Government of India and other entities owned and controlled by it. We provide assurance on their operations, audit their transactions, certify their financial statements and also perform Value for Money assessments of govt programmes and policies. I have oversight over the entire audit process through planning, execution, reporting and follow up across the country.I also provide assistance to the Parliamentary Committees charged with the follow up of the reports of C&AG, with the Executive and assist the committees in vetting the action taken thereon. I report to the Deputy Auditor General of India.

AS COO, I am responsible for the oversight of all operations of the AMC including Risk, Compliance and Finance functions and I am a member of the Executive Committee, which also oversees the Deal team. My direct responsibility also includes the oversight of Project execution and the advising the IC on the health of the project and the Exit opportunities. As regards Investment, my primary responsibility includes advising the Deal team on the risk angle specifically the Socio economic factors of an infrastructure investment.

I head the Provincial Audit office of the C&AG of India for the state of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and serve as the Principal Audit Officer of the Governments of these provinces. My audit responsibilities include Certification of their Annual Financial Statements, Compliance and Performance Audit of all their activities and Welfare Schemes. I manage an office of more than 1000 Audit professionals covering all activities from Planning to Follow up.

I led the Provincial Audit office of the C&AG of India for the state of Tripura and served as the Principal Audit Officer of the Governments of these provinces. My audit responsibilities include Certification of their Annual Financial Statements, Compliance and Performance Audit of their activities and Welfare Schemes.

As a Member of the Audit Board, I lead a practice that carries out Attest Audit, Transaction Audit and Management Audit of Public Sector Companies owned directly or indirectly by Govt of India, in the areas of Manufacturing, Financial Services, Aviation, Oil & Gasetc

I was responsible for compilation of Accounts, Budgetary Control and preparation of Annual Finnacial Statements for the state of Tamil Nadu as its Chief Accounting Authority.In addition, my office was charged with various entitlement functions including the sanction of Pension and Provindent Fund accounting for the state govt employees numbering around half a million, which was donein a totally computerised environment.

I was the Expert in the Technical Office of the President of the Supreme Audit Institution of Oman. I was in charge of policy formulation, legislation, setting up of systems and key auidt assignments including Forensic Audits and worked on ares like Procurements, Corporate Governance and legislative and Judicial oversight and Anti MoneyLaundering etc

I headed the Policy Division in the Ministry of Food & Civil Supplies where I was engaged in the area of Food Policy formulation, ensuring Food Security, Trade Policy compliant with WTO and administration of Food Corporation of India

UTI is India's premier mutual fund, where I worked in the areas of Client Servicing, Fund Management and Accounts.I helped launch India's first mutual fund and also designed systems for client servicing of one of UTI's Investment Schemes.
