I am a researcher with expertise in molecular biology and biophysical techniques. I have research experience in chemical biology, protein engineering, skill in mammalian and bacterial cell culture and knowledge in microbiological techniques. During my PhD tenure, my research was focused on understanding the structure-function relationship of small molecule-nucleic acid interactions and the biological consequence of nucleic acid-targeting small molecule drugs as potent anticancer agents. My current research at the University of Manchester is centered on the development of a synthetic biology approach for the facile total biosynthesis of semi-synthetic antibiotics.
