I was hand selected for this stretch and developmental role of the Chief of Staff to the VP of Amazon Pharmacy. During my 15 months, I worked on developing a deeper understanding of the product, customer journey, P&L and competitive landscape. I developed strong relationships, earning trust during a transitionary phase of the leadership team and supported onboarding new members of the leadership team. I led and authored the 3-year plan and operational plan (OP1) for the organization, which was presented to the CEO of Amazon. I worked closely with finance and business development teams to guide revenue growth planning for three business channels, improving planning accuracy by 35%. I also led the organizational redesign to support accelerated product and technology roadmap delivery and surfaced as well as tackled key risks and blockers to meet the organizational goals and timelines, and smartly influenced prioritizing papercuts within the CX to improve the overall customer journey.

After working in core operations, program management and Product/Tech, I transitioned over to build the most customer centric pharmacy at Amazon. I provided strategic vision and precise execution during a culturally critical time of M&A with PillPack LLC, while utilizing high judgement to build key relationships across companies and functions. I also served as the Acting Director for the Pharmacy Dispensing network through 2020 in the absence of formal leadership, and led the supply chain workstreams for the public launch of Amazon Pharmacy. My team and I built scalable processes and metrics for medication inventory, patient quality, software integration, and new site launches, collaborating across 39 stakeholder and partner teams to steer product/technology decisions and launching 5 sites within 12 months with aggressive timelines. During my tenure, I implemented business continuity planning through COVID-19 with 98% delivery accuracy and no service interruption to patients, established an agile and low CAPEX medication fulfillment network model for nationwide delivery resulting in $238M capital expense cost avoidance, and led inventory management and strategic planning to improve write-offs from 3.2% to 1.5% of COGS YoY while reducing patient facing out-of-stock instances.
