Some of the major findings of my work are:1) Established frameshifting as the new mode of action of macrolides and ketolides2) Successfully identified a novel mechanism for the induction of ermC (macrolide resistance)3) Determined the biological cost of fitness of expression of erythromycin resistance genes in Gram-positive bacteria
