Foundation "POSITIVE PERSONAL SKILLS IN SOCIETY" ("PULSE") is a Bulgarian non-governmental organization, registered on 07th July 1999. PULSE Foundation is registered under the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities as an organization carrying out socially useful activities aimed at the development and affirmation of spiritual values in civil society, support of social integration and personal realization, as well as the protection of human rights. As of 31st October 2018, PULSЕ Foundation has been re-registered and entered in the Commercial Register and the Register of Non-Profit Organizations at the Registry Agency.MISSION To work for a world free of violence by providing help and support to people who have experienced violence and increasing society's sensitivity to the problem in order to eliminate forms of violence in human relations.PULSE Foundation's priority is developing and establishing an effective care program in the region of Southwestern Bulgaria for adults, adolescents and children, and their families who have experienced violence. The foundation works in two main directions in terms of violence - prevention and rehabilitation. The first addresses existing societal and institutional attitudes towards domestic violence, sexual violence, trafficking, child abuse, and takes an educational approach, lobbying, advocacy, and planning of community initiatives and activities. The second main line/direction deals with the identified cases of violence and adopts an individual or family approach to work. We emphasize the need to provide crisis assistance and intervention in cases of current violence, before providing other types of psychological, family, legal support and / or treatment of trauma.
