Serving in an IEB private boarding school in South Africa with an exceptional track record spanning over 12 years. The key highlights of my experience in this role involved running the entire education system for the school which also entailed managing learners, teaching, and non-teaching staff on a daily basis. I was responsible for and heavily involved in curriculum development, implementation, and assessments.

My responsibilities involved establishing deficiencies in the skills development processes, developing training materials and conducting workshops in and out the school set up. I ensured the development of a healthy learning environment and student-centred approach to content delivery in class. Critical to achieving this was creating good rapport with stakeholders and learners in class as well as being innovative and resourceful in tackling complex tasks. I believe these skills would serve me well in any professional deployment l undertake. I focused on implementing highly effective instructional practices to improve student learning and academic performance. The result of this approach was a pass rate of above 90% for the majority of the 7 years l served in this role

Responsible for 8 senior classes with an average of 25 students per class. Music theory exams taken by the students were from the Academic Board of Royal Schools of Music Exams (ABRSM), an internationally recognized and reputable British examining body in the music industry. I was also responsible for delivering senior academic lessons in English, Geography and Business Studies with a very strong track record which led to my promotion to a more senior role heading the department.
