My current role, inter alia, includes assisting and advising MNCs and domestic companies in the manufacturing and technology sector on the following:- Structuring inbound investments in India and outbound investments from India - Tax implications of business transactions under Indian tax law, international tax treaty and exchange control regulation perspective- Tax compliances i.e, preparation of tax computation and return of income, withholding tax compliances, assessment / audits by income-tax department - Representation before revenue authorities for income tax assessments, obtaining stay of demand, penalty proceedings- Obtaining approvals from regulatory authorities for setting-up of SEZ units, STP units, Project Offices etcPrior to joining tax and regulatory services, I was part of the Risk Advisory Services in EY.
