Punit Mishra is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in Research, Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation of social development projects. He has a proven track record of establishing and managing strategic partnerships with academic institutions, private sector entities, philanthropic organizations, and multilateral donors to support and expand projects.Currently, Punit serves as the Lead of Research Partnerships at PCC. In this role, he has been instrumental in building and managing research networks across India and expanding the RASTA initiative. His efforts have localized evidence and broadened PCC’s initiatives, successfully securing funding from donors such as USAID, GIZ, UNICEF, and Indian philanthropies. Punit leads various high-impact research projects funded by these significant donors.Before joining PCC, Punit led the Research, Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation (RMLE) team at Piramal Foundation. He oversaw the foundation's Health, Education, and Water verticals and managed the RMLE for the Aspirational Districts Collaborative (ADC) across 112 districts. He played a key role in the Government of India's "Transformation of Aspirational Districts" initiative with NITI Aayog and led research for the Centre of Excellence (CoE) for knowledge management of tribal health and nutrition at the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.Punit's previous experience includes serving as a Senior Associate at RTI International, where he led the Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation domain within RTI India's Health vertical. He managed evaluation projects funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF). Additionally, as a Health Financing Specialist at Abt Associates, Punit contributed to a USAID-funded health finance and governance project, developing state-level health accounts and conducting public health expenditure reviews.He has also served as an Assistant Professor of Statistics at the University of Delhi, teaching courses on statistical inference and research methodology. Punit's extensive experience includes designing and implementing operations research projects, social and behavior change interventions, and multi-round longitudinal studies. He has analyzed large-scale data for national and state governments, multilateral donors, and non-profit organizations across India and Africa. Punit has mentored many young researchers on RMLE, data analytics, and data quality audits, and has published and presented his research at various scientific conferences globally.
