CDMA BTS INFRASTRUCTUREOverall Technical Lead for the O&M Development Team on 3 different CDMA Base Station (BTS) products producing up to 100K high quality LOC per year. Created technical products and managed teams in the creation of the IDEN GW product, allowing the merger of the IDEN and CDMA networks for a key U.S. Service Provider.- Led a 3 month trade-off study and evaluation which SIP Protocol stack for the IDEN GW product. The new protocol SIP was a corner stone of the GW development. Discipline trade-off matrix, rapid prototyping, and constant communications with management were the keys to success.- Developed the Software Architecture Document describing the key architecture concepts of the GW providing OO and Structured perspectives. This artifact allowed the coordination of 5 key signaling subsystems.- Designed the Network Management Subsystem software for the Signaling part of the GW. This artifact featured a heartbeat strategy that achieved 5-Nines availability.- Managed an implementation team of 5 engineers for the Network Management Subsystem software, recognized by management for smooth integration with other teams and high quality (low level of defects).- Part of a Tiger team that reduced product cost by 50% through the performance optimization of code on the dual core processors.

TELECOMMUNICATION SOFTWARE ASPIRAConducted evaluation and planning for the various Aspira Engineering teams.- Evaluated a 50K plus LOC into out product (a SGSN) within 5 months (with less man power than was estimated). This was accomplished through test planning, building a test harness to exercise and even inspecting portions of their code.- High Availability architect for the Aspira 3rd Party Products team.- Generated test strategy, availability plan, and evaluating 3rd party tools for the team of over 40 engineers. TELECOMMUNICATION SOFTWARE DMX HOME LOCATION REGISTERConducted performance estimation and capacity analysis for the product for over 20 customer’s world wide. This also included analyzing performance-related problems for customers remotely and at the customer site. Experience working on customer machines, profiling markets and developing tools. I Generated sales quotes for over $10 million in customer software and equipment.
