I supported PIs at Augusta University by developing, designing and executing – -Immune cell isolation – Human blood and Mouse -Immune cell phenotyping by Flow cytometry-Protein.

Houston, Texas Area

• Worked at the Center for Cell and Gene therapy on CAR T cells and their ability to be used in treatment of solid tumors like Glioblastoma.
• Designed and tested the efficiency of reverse-checkpoint HER2-CAR T cells in pre-clinical studies of brain tumors
• Executed therapeutic CAR T cell product testing used in clinical trials for glioblastoma under GMP/GLP conditions

Indianapolis, Indiana Area

• I worked in the laboratory of Dr. Mark H Kaplan where my research focused on investigating the role of STAT proteins in gene regulation in T helper cells and allergic inflammation. My PhD dissertation involved.
• Worked on an independent project investigating the function of a transcriptional co-factor (PARP14) in allergic inflammation that resulted in 2 first author publications and a review article
• Collaborative research projects with colleagues yielded 5 co-authored publications
• Executed pre-clinical projects involving human patient biopsy samples
• Participated in weekly journal clubs and lab meetings to critique scientific publications and review current project updates
