I worked in the laboratory of Dr. Mark H Kaplan where my research focused on investigating the role of STAT proteins in gene regulation in T helper cells and allergic inflammation. My PhD dissertation involved exploring the function of a STAT6 transcriptional co-factor in allergic inflammation of lung, gut and skin.•Worked on an independent project investigating the function of a transcriptional co-factor (PARP14) in allergic inflammation that resulted in 2 first author publications and a review article•Collaborative research projects with colleagues yielded 5 co-authored publications •Executed pre-clinical projects involving human patient biopsy samples •Participated in weekly journal clubs and lab meetings to critique scientific publications and review current project updates•Involved in organizing networking events on campus•Mentored and trained new students, summer interns and high school students•Communicated research at 3 conferences as oral and poster presentations•Awarded trainee presentation award by American Association of Immunologists
