Clinical Research Coordinator
CurrentAt Emergency Department at the Montreal Children's Hospital:• Initiates research study protocols and establishes operational policies.• Builds research capacity in community-based organizations and student groups.• Prepares and updates research ethics board applications.• Implements data collection and analysis systems, coordinating data gathering.• Coordinates recruitment, instruction, and management of research subjects/volunteers.• Ensures smooth research operation, liaising with internal and external parties.• Manages technical support staff engaged in research/clinical tasks.• Plans staffing for research studies, including recruitment and administration.• Supervises support services for investigators and researchers.• Monitors research progress, maintains records, and prepares reports for stakeholders.• Obtains informed consent and assesses patient eligibility through interviews and record review.• Maintains and completes logs, forms, and source documentation for medication, adverse events, and questionnaires.• Prepares orders for protocol-related procedures and consults.• Coordinates all aspects of data collection and source documentation.• Responds to queries and information requests, completing research-related documents.• Conducts protocol-specific and scientific trainings.• Manages Research Ethics Board submissions.
