All medical facilities have identifiers that are unique to them such as name, services, logo, etc. This project was about ensuring that the facility could display their logo on their documents. The code involved creating a new page to display the facility's name, display any old logos they may have, and uploading a new image. If the user uploaded a new image there was a process of validating the file type, resizing the image, renaming the image, and moving the image into the correct file folder.

ACM is an organization that helps people interested in computer science connect and explore CS concepts. The Computer Science Society is a student run organization for the students computer science department and anyone else looking to learn about computer science. At the time I became the President not many students were in the club or interested in doing activities. It was my job to revive the club with the help of our faculty sponsor. • Appoint new Officers to help lead the club• Conduct meetings to generate ideas for activities/workshops• Plan how to perform activities/workshops• Secure funding and gather tools • Invite students to activities/workshops• We had many successful events including a workshop teaching python, a career fair where many local companies came to recruit students, a resume workshop, and a gaming session• Fundraise for future activies

igniteCS is a program created and funded by Google to help local underprivileged middle school and high school students explore CS concepts through volunteer CS students. My group was tasked on working with a local high school.• Work with other mentors to identify CS concepts that would be informative, interactive, and interesting• Participate in workshop activities and showing the students how CPUs work, AI concepts, and Raspberry PI computers• Gather articles and videos showing Artificial Intelligence concepts• Talk to the students and find out their individual interests in CSWe held a workshop to teach the students about the Raspberry Pi device and OS. The other mentors and I explained what the Raspberry Pi device and how to connect it to an existing computer to boot up the OS. The students then worked on their own to connect the device and the mentors and I answered questions. A local news station, WGN, wrote an article about this workshop and spoke to some of the mentors about our experiences with igniteCS.

Education standards are being revised to teach more technical skills to middle school students such as coding and critical thinking in relation STEM subjects. A lot of these skills require Computational Thinking(CT) which is learning to break down a problem into smaller parts, use computers and other tools to solve problems, represent data through models and simulations, and more. At Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) student who are studying to become teachers are also working to understand CT and use it in their future classrooms. In middle and high schools, Newton’s Law of Motion is a common topic that is taught. Students often find the topic difficult to understand and teachers use many methods to fully teach the concepts. To learn Newton’s Laws of Motion requires many CT skills so my team and I decided to make a website that teaches these concepts through CT. • Learn what Newton’s Law of Motion are through research and talking to Physics Professors• Ask Physics professors and future teachers what activities most helps students learn Newton’s Laws• Design the layout of the website while incorporating educational activities
