I am a Native Floridian and am blessed to have a wonderful loving family.I am a stenographer/court reporter with over 35 years' experience covering every aspect of recording and being the custodian of the spoken word. I am a Member in Good Standing and have passed testing and certification at 98% accuracy with the National Court Reporters’ Association as a Registered Professional Reporter.Over the years reporting services have continuously been discounted by large corporate firms; please remember that we perform an extraordinary task and produce the written word based on the laws and governing bodies this country was founded on, and any Licensed Court Reporter should be appreciated as such and compensated accordingly so that they can provide for their families just like you provide for yours at the end of a hard week’s work. Sometimes you get what you pay for, and unbeknownst to many members of the legal community the majority of reporters in Florida are not licensed in any fashion since it is not a requirement to work as a reporter in this great state. “Professional Registered Reporter” is not a license nor certification and simply a misnomer placed on certificate pages to lead the general public into believing they are receiving a licensed and tested professional reporter who devotes their time and money on a regular basis to stay as such throughout the year with seminars and continuing education requirements.It has been a privilege to have been an officer of the court, an assistant to the hearing impaired, and a servant to the public seeking justice and fairness for all, and I look forward to doing so for years to come.
