Project Engineer
CurrentI am currently serving as a Project Engineer in this prestigious Maharatna PSU. From the very beginning of my tenure, I have closely collaborated with the State DISCOMs of Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Maharashtra and Goa on important Government schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (SAUBHAGYA) and Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY). These initiatives aimed to electrify every household across the nation. My major roles included:a) Day to day correspondence with State Utilities regarding progress of schemes, ParliamentaryCommittee questions, data management for maintaining MIS and Geotagging of assets.b) Other information required by REC coordination division and MIS division etc.c) Processing of Closure Proposals for each district and disbursement of Loan and Grant Component.Additionally, I have conducted numerous site inspections for ongoing schemes/projects funded by REC in the Generation, Transmission, and Distribution sectors within states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa.These inspections have been vital in monitoring the physical and financial progress of these schemes,ensuring high-quality workmanship. Furthermore, I have actively participated in the Consumer Service Rating of DISCOMs (CSRD) activities. These activities involve a comprehensive evaluation of DISCOMs, considering various operational and financial parameters. These ratings play a crucial role in shaping the experiences of both existing and potential consumers. I have contributed significantly to the analysis of data provided by DISCOMs across multiple service categories, leading to the determination of DISCOMs rankings for each Financial Year. I am responsible for overseeing both technical and financial aspects of the existing projects. Moreover, I have played a pivotal role in REC Mumbai’s process of loan approvals for upcoming projects.
