My responsibilities include: -Create lessons for listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.-Teach classes of varying English levels and ages (undergraduates up to PhDs)-Grade students' tests and papers and recorded grades for teaching staff.

This placement allows me to participate in meaningful work assignments so that I can learn more about a translator career through practice by working closely with a mentor who takes an active interest in providing guidance and supervision. Besides, the internship offered will be more than just doing a translation because the host organisation allows me to explore other related career paths. For instance, writing, publishing, doing a website localisation and working on a big project on how to get more Australian students enrolling in Indonesian courses. It is envisaged that I will develop my translation skills and get experience in project management, research and analysis, teamwork, networking, and social media. Therefore, this internship is named “Project on Beyond Translation—Connecting Australian and Indonesian.”

As a social media analyst, I support the Project Manager in coordinating a wider research project exploring the dynamics of maritime human smuggling from four focus countries, namely India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Malaysia. In this job, I provide the service set out below with regard to Indonesia.• Conducting a social media analysis on different platforms (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube), using the tailored protocol provided by the Project Manager, and tracking results in the format provided. • Conducting a Bahasa Indonesia language review of Indonesian media sources, using the media analysis protocol provided, and sharing results in the format provided.• Translating all texts and videos that are in a language other than English.• Writing up all key findings. • Responding to reasonable queries from the Project Manager, including through follow-up phone calls to clarify and discuss findings

Responsible for reading and thoroughly understanding the context of given materials, e.g., abstract, journal, thesis, novel or any document using specialized dictionaries, translation tools and proofreading finished piece of work. My current specialisations range from anthropology, culture, tourism, and finance.

Responsible for handling the academic administrative request and queries from my senior, for instance, providing basic and initial assistance to university students with questions about classes, registration, permission, and assisting in test preparation by using established guidelines.

Responsible for delivering TOEFL lesson to freshmen at Syiah Kuala University. Helping them to improve their listening, speaking and reading skill.
