O, The Oprah Magazine: New York, N.Y.; October 2014• Responsibilities included copy editing and inserting changes at various stages within WoodWing print status workflow at monthly Hearst Corporation magazine, including Edit Approved, Ready for Final, Final, Release, and Contract Proof.

Deadline responsibilities included proofreading editorial components, writing headlines and approving pages for typesetting in six daily newspapers. Trained to serve as substitute web producer when online production team was short-­staffed. Member of newspaper’s stylebook committee.

Responsible for copy editing and layout of articles and pages for five editions of newspaper (weekly, biweekly and monthly). Deadline responsibilities included nation/world section and commentary pages. Off-­deadline responsibilities included preparation of obituaries, letters to the editor, and the copy editing of weekly listings from local groups and residents.

Oversaw layout and design of editorial pages at daily newspaper. Proofread submitted and syndicated op-ed articles, and provided final copy editing of editorials and letters to the editor.
