I am responsible for developing several products at the company, with the most interesting being the frontend for remote delivery vehicle control:The app can operate on multiple displays and allows users to control the interface layout, similar to a window manager.Cross-window communication is seamless and out-of-the-box: developers don't have to worry about communication and can write code as if for a single-window application.The app is crafted using React and MobX, and it utilizes WebRTC for video streaming.

Samokat is Russia's first and leading on-demand grocery delivery service, operating in 65 cities.As a Product Tech Lead, I was responsible for the engineering aspect of the Showcase team's work, closely collaborating with our Product Manager. The team's scope included everything related to the product selection experience, as well as other feature areas inherited during the rapid growth period. The team comprised up to 10 engineers, including Frontend and Backend developers, as well as QA Engineers. It was a huge step forward for me, a great challenge, and an amazing experience.Bringing a unique perspective, I was able to assist the engineers in my team in finding solutions to various challenges.Some of the projects we successfully delivered with the team include:- A complete redesign of the application.- The launch of several experimental showcases in addition to the main one, such as an external pharmacy showcase, a beauty products showcase, and a discount market showcase.- Complex integration with the largest Russian bank, including authorization and a loyalty program.- Additional marketing tools for the main grocery showcase.

In that position, I was responsible for the front-end development of the main mobile application for Samokat’s users. I was both developing the app itself and managing the team, gradually shifting more towards management as the team grew.- I led the front-end development of the application from the first prototype and the first order, with a team of 2 front-end developers, to a state of millions of users, a place in the app store top charts, and a codebase prepared for development by several independent front-end teams.- I was able to achieve a seamless refactoring process without a single complete rewrite.- With the team, we implemented dozens of features to test many product hypotheses.

At NativeRoll, I worked on an embeddable video player for outstream video advertising. The main challenge was that the mobile browsers at that time didn't allow videos to start automatically. The company used a simple video format, essentially a sequence of JPEGs. I proposed and developed a solution using an integrated h264 video codec, compiled from C to JavaScript using Emscripten. This allowed us to drastically enhance the video quality while maintaining the same bandwidth load.
