My role was to design and develop server and network infrastructures, backup/disaster recovery, intranet, and telephony systems following ITIL best practices and a change management system with CAB authorisation procedures. I also completed P2V migrations, server infrastructure consolidation, data centre relocation, security policy development, testing, product evaluations, proof of concept and implemented MDT to streamline deployment of operating systems and applications.In addition, I managed security with perimeter scans, IPS/IDS, device encryption, 2-Factor Authorisation and developed compliance-based policies and procedures and the business continuity plan, system automation with PowerShell, and conducted system failover tests to ensure system and infrastructure redundancy.I completed an SQL Cluster and Exchange 2010 to 2016 migrations and domain controller (Active Directory) upgrade 2008 to 2012 and conducting quarterly vulnerability scans and annual penetration scans in order to identify and resolve flagged security issues. I was also required to drive and oversee the development and implementation of robust disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity planning (BCP) strategies, policies and controls for the organisation that ensures IT security.

In my role as Network Engineer, I managed, planned, and implemented network infrastructure. I also installed and provided patch management of fibre, CAT6, CAT5, COAX, and VOICE and was entrusted with project billing and overseeing stock control.

During my time as Network Administrator, I managed daily operation and helpdesk of WINTEL environment including WAN, LAN, Active Directory, File Server, database and mail servers for over 70 users. Throughout my time, I panned and implemented TCP/IP networks, a WAN between IFS and MRM using Wi-Fi, hardware deployments, and purchasing proposals. I also provided in-depth support of servers, desktops and laptops, printers, photocopiers, fax machines, telephone systems and a fuel management system while ensuring complete back-up procedures and data recovery methods. Finally, I installed LAN and phone wiring, maintained switches and firewalls and provided effective software support and training.

During my early role as Network Engineer, I worked as part of a team to install fibre-optic, CAT5, CAT6, and VOICE cables for companies such as JP Morgan & Bank of America.

In my early IT position, I provided end-to-end support on servers, workstations, printers, and photocopiers while overseeing software deployment.
