 Undertaken shift lead role.  Installation, configuration and management of (VERITAS) Symantec Netbackup in Master and Media Servers. Creating & configure backup policies, storage units, volume pool & the Storage lifecycle policies (SLP). Restore of entire server/cluster node during server crash. Restore of NBU Master/Media server using Disaster recovery process. Installing Netbackup client agent on client servers & add it to backup policy. Installation, configuration, management and troubleshooting Libraries and the tape drives. Upgrading Firmware for all Backup devices like Tape Libraries and Standalone tape drives. Support for Backup in an enterprise level backup configuration and handling major issues related to backup of different servers. We handle more than 10000 servers across Europe/America/Asia Pacific Zones & including 1700 media servers. Taking Daily, Weekly backups on regular basis using Symantec Netbackup 7.1. Managing catalog backup for all master servers & recovery. Scheduling and managing backups and restores and troubleshooting problems related to them. Creation of Volume Pools. Assigning Backup media for different Volume Pools and Configure Storage device and Catalog backup. Taking Backup & Restoration in Windows. Coordinated with Vendors like HP, Symantec Coordinated with On-site tapes operations person for Media rotation. Make sure to provide the required service in the defined SLA and the SLO.  Having Good knowledge SQL database backup and restore. Having Good knowledge Exchange database backup and restore.
