Develop & implement the site ‘Standard operating procedures; and review process.Guide and support the O&M team to ensure all planned maintenance and improvement activities are realised.Deliver improved production techniques, building the skills base across the site.Set production goals to ensure customer orders are completed on time to quality standards.Lead all daily and weekly production meetings, team briefings and budget control measures.

Leading an operations shift team through the construction, commissioning and start-up of a proprietary technology production plant for acetylated wood. Developing people & creation of the full scope of operational procedures for operational readiness. Leading commissioning activities and writing /proving commissioning procedures. Developing the training and development resource including matrix building, training plans and assessment processes. Permit authority and development of the CoW function and competency development.

Leading the Area operations shift team in the production of float glass. Managing team performance and skills development. Development of cross function/department ‘Emergency response’ capability by delivering scenario based training sessions to the emergency response team. CoW signatory for key ‘COMAH’ related areas.

• Technical training & competency lead.• Managing the companies training budget.• Managing, defining, updating & reviewing business standard operating procedures.• Lead internal assessor/verifier design of the Vivergo Fuels Ltd competency management systems to ensure expectations defined within the COMAH & HSE audits are achieved.• Planning, monitoring and coordinating all technical training requirements to support the operations performance teams to ensure the competencies within specific roles are maintained to the required levels with regard of COMAH, HSSE & VFL expectations.• Managing, sourcing, recording all training requirements across the Vivergo fuels business within the scope of the defined training budget.• Assessing full range of technical teams' competencies & building competency matrices for all business functions.• Create & maintain the 'people' databases in terms of competency evidence.

• Ensuring the effective training and competency of the operations day & shift team technicians in line with the company and awarding body standards.• Supporting the shift & day management teams with regard to planning and organizing shift team cover, training, improvement activities and commissioning prior to process start-up and operations to maximum sustainable daily rates.• Taking a lead position in the commissioning of key areas of the plant through to start-up of operational assets, Including DCS sequence testing, site chemicals storage & water treatment plant/systems operation testing.• Creation of the Systems integrity & operating procedures for the whole plant including rollout & training for plant operations technicians & managers, continuous improvement team activities/training and HAZID/HAZOP reviews prior to plant design & operational improvements.

• Responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance & budget control measures for key manufacturing lines.• Improvement activities via analysing KPI's & 'losses' against planned output, utilising OEE to identify areas of main production & process defect losses, root cause analysis of stoppages/failures to facilitate efficiency gains.• Managing people to ensure correct labour loading requirements are in place with the requisite levels of training & competence.• Accurate record keeping and documentation completion to ensure adherence to industry and regulatory standards.
