About Paul Janney
A highly motivated engineer with extensive experience in heavy industry and control systems.The majority of my career has involved the replacement of obsolete control systems and electrical installations. I have carried out detailed design, vendor selection, management of contractors, application software development and commissioning.My final role at Cemex was Electrical Engineering Manager in the Maintenance Department. My key task has been to ensure that the site is maintained to ensure safety and reliability and the staff are competent to carry out the work. This has covered all areas from the 11kV network to the potentially explosive atmospheres.With the closure and mothballing of the site in 2021, I led the electrical decommissioning team in making the plant as safe as possible for the future.In 2022 I started a now role as a Controls Project Engineer at Kohler Mira. This role took me back to a less managerial role, working on replacement of obsolete control systems, factory optimization and robotics.
